When Joe and I were first married, and Aravis was a baby, we lived about 45 minutes away from our friends and family - and my baby did NOT tolerate car rides of any length. He was a youth pastor for a start-up church and we moved across town to be closer to that community. I was really isolated and alone. I had very little connection to life at the time - I was battling fear and anxiety, uncovered sickness in my marriage, and a whole lot of depression. One day a woman from my church asked if she could come over and hang out. I was both floored, nervous and excited - I had almost no friends near me and my heart was hungry. She came over to my freshly cleaned house and entered into my lonely life... and then immediately delivered a sales pitch for a multi level marketing business. I will never forget the way my soul sank into my toes - and then I signed up because I was that lonely.
I'll never be that girl, friends. I have such a distaste for a sales pitch - it wounds my very existence to try to deliver it to any single person. I will never come into your home, or your heart, with a business plan clutched behind my back. I've tried it and it leaves a sick feeling in my heart. So, no way. And I need you to know that because I have such a great love for essential oils sometimes I'm going to post a link to an oil, or an invitation to walk the road of holistic living with me. But I will never, ever lay an expectation on you to do something that doesn't speak to you. I will never ask you to spend your money in a way that makes you gulp past your better judgement. Never.
I've been using EOs for a long, long time. I've used almost every brand out there, and researched my heart out. Sometimes, when I can't sleep, I read articles on EOs, and brands, and uses, and how tos, and personal stories of successes and failures. I use them on my kids - and they even ask for oils by name because they are learning how to identify their own symptoms and what they need to heal their bodies, or settle the heck down. I love to learn, and I love to share. Its part of my design.
I know that a whole lot of you love EOs too, and even more of you are just learning about them. I know that my journey is sometimes similar to your journey, so why not journey together? I've discovered a wealth of community, information and support in the Young Living Team I've joined. People are always posting on the private pages with questions, answers, ideas, stories, recipes, and webinars. It is genuinely a wealth of information and that makes me almost giddy.
I'm going to write about EOs about once a week - both here at at Mind Full Collective - and sometimes I'll post links, and invitations to webinars - and even direct links to help you purchase your first group of oils. I'm also going to pour into your questions and curiosities as helpfully as I can. I hope you know that, when my words come into your home, my heart comes too. I'm for YOU more than I am ever for a commission. I want to share all of my stories with you - my life stories, my healing stories, my yoga stories. And I want you to feel safe here.
If you follow me on Facebook you know that my girl Megan from She Does Justice (whose EO team I am a part of) is hosting a private oil party in August for people who sign up this month. She's going to teach you how to use specific oils to treat common issues. If you're at the part of your personal research and journey into using EOs to treat yourself and family where you know you want in - come sign up so you can get in on that webinar. If you have questions about EOs I'm always happy to answer anything I can (and if I don't know the answer - I know people who do). There are so many ways to start using EOs and this August offer is just one of them. Email me if you want more information or have questions - stephanie [at] thelittleway [dot] net.
Most importantly - there are options and supplemental treatments to healthcare at your fingertips. There are so many amazing things all around us that can help us heal, prevent, and rebuild. God made creation capable of sustaining and healing us. That's a gift and I'm so grateful for it.
Questions, friends? Leave them in the comments section and I'll make it a point to answer you.
